As a yoga teacher, I am constantly hearing how important it is to have your own, personal daily practice. For obvious reasons, right? A strong, grounding, daily practice helps you avoid yoga teacher burnout and keeps you healthy. A daily practice is your self-care when your days are spent nurturing the students who show up on their mats in your class. A daily practice keeps you rooted in your truth so you can approach others with compassion, even on your bad days.
But, what IS a daily practice?
Before I had a baby, I was practicing every day. And by that I mean I was practicing pretty intense asana, with some pretty intense teachers, surrounded by advanced yogis.
